The Kids Defense Team is a Northeast, Md.-based nonprofit organization that aims to protect children from Internet predators. It provides seminars on internet safety, bullying, domestic abuse, and teenage drug and alcohol abuse. Our organization started in 2003.

Nonprofit Organization Helping Single Mothers
Temporary Housing • Spiritual Mentoring • Parenting Services
The Bethel Foundation reaches out to one single Mom at a time – giving a ray of sunshine at the end of the tunnel by providing team support with mentoring, rehabilitation and quality housing.
- Domestic Violence: Many mothers come out of an abusive marriage or relationships. Some women are not employed and cannot afford housing. That's where we come in to help.
- Poor Housing: We try to place families in homes that are completely modernized.
- Poorly Educated: We will steer mothers in the direction to further their education through training for the GED. That way they can apply to college or technical training school.
- Healthcare: Lack of insurance seems to compound health problems.
- Unemployment: Once mothers obtain a GED, we can assist in job placement while you are attending college or getting technical training.
- No Family Support: Many mothers do not have the family support they need, or they are too embarrassed about their economic situation. We provide spiritual mentoring, nurturing, advice, encouragement, and friendship. We also provide parenting information to mothers.
